Higher Risk of Heart Events in Women Compared with Men with Diabetes女性比男性糖尿病患者心脏病发作的风险更大

A systematic review and meta-analysis concluded that women with diabetes have more than a 40% greater risk of incident coronary heart disease compared with men with diabetes. The study analyzed data from 64 cohorts including 858,507 individuals and 28,203 coronary events between 1 January 1966 and 13 February 2013. Another analysis also found the excess risk of stroke associated with diabetes is significantly higher in women than men, independent of sex differences in other major cardiovascular risk factors.
